Historic Washington, Arkansas, is a lovely, peaceful tree-shaded town in one of the most amazing historic places in Arkansas that you will want to experience! Here we will travel back to the 19th Century as we stroll the plank board sidewalks alongside streets that have never been paved, and tour the historic public buildings and former residences. Established on George Washington’s birthday in 1824, the town of Washington today is one of America’s premier historic villages. Historic Washington State Park is a National Historical Landmark, a National Register of Historic Places site, and an Arkansas state park you’ll want to visit.
Travel with us as we relive the stories surrounding some of the great politicians that have called TEXAS their home. We will visit the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library, the LBJ Presidential Library & Museum, the Bob Bullock Museum, Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, and the Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park. Hopefully, we have timed this trip to also see some of the BEAUTIFUL BLUE BONNETS that paint our Texas hills and roadways this time of year!!

Founded in 1847 by 800 Norwegian immigrants, the village is transformed into a kaleidoscope of colors! Pella is the centerpiece of our trip … but there is so much more along the way including Precious Moments, Powell Gardens, Madison County & The Roseman Covered Bridge, Winterset (home of John Wayne, “The Duke”), the Amana Colonies, Hannibal (boyhood home of Mark Twain), Grant’s Farm, Springfield (Bass Pro Shop), and Branson!!
Let’s go back in time and relive one of the pivotal times in our history, the CIVIL WAR. We will visit Vicksburg which was considered the nail head that holds the South’s two halves together. This trip will include OLD COURTHOUSE MUSEUM, OLD DEPOT MUSEUM, BIEDENHARN COCA-COLA MUSEUM & GARDENS, LOWER MISSISSIPPI RIVER MUSEUM, with a highlight of the VICKSBURG NATIONAL MILITARY PARK.
